Join Sweden Startup Nation's Agentic Tech Team
We're a small, fast-moving team inside Sweden Startup Nation building modern data and software infrastructure for Sweden's startup and innovation ecosystem. We operate like a startup ourselves, decentralized, experimental, and relentlessly modern. At the core of our work is the Swedish Startup Nation Data Platform, a modern data and application backbone that connects multiple databases and powers several products: the public Swedish Startup Nation website, many dashboards for analytics, and admin tools for ETL, monitoring, and data management. We use an Agent-First development approach, where AI agents collaborate in coding, testing, deploying, and improving the system. It's a place to explore how software development evolves when code, data, and agents co-develop together in real time, a true data-web project, fast, modular, and deeply integrated, built with a modern tech stack.
The initiative is led by BLING, FUHS, the Swedish Higher Education Institutions' Innovation Office and SISP, which together represent over 100 Swedish research and innovation environments from across the country.

Role: Agentic Developer
As an Agentic Developer, you'll work across layers of the platform - from data models and APIs to modern UIs and automation workflows.
Your focus will be on building, improving, and maintaining the data and software systems that power the platform.
Depending on your background, you might:
Work with AI agents that generate, refactor, and deploy code
Build and iterate on front-end interfaces and visualization components
Develop internal dashboards and admin tools for data operations
Experiment with new automation patterns for ETL, deployment, or testing
We don't divide roles into rigid tracks - you'll get hands-on experience across the full stack, guided by curiosity, collaboration, and real-world product goals.
Ideal Candidates
Students or recent graduates (e.g. KTH or similar), or anyone with spare capacity in another program who wants to learn by doing. You're curious, self-directed, and excited to work on the frontier of how software gets built.
Application Deadline:
We're hiring multiple interns, on a first come/Best-fit basis.
Important Note:
Internships at SSN are not-salaried. We provide on a case-by-case basis support in different ways, but we expect that the main driver for the candidate is the passion to learn, develop skills, and while doing so contribute to the company in a concrete way. We aim to offer internship formats that can be halftime, fulltime, or based on hourly engagement during the spring.
Duration:
Six months with potential to turn into a full time position
Eligibility:
This role is only available unfortunately to candidates with a valid work permit in Sweden
